Posted by Omar Khan, Software Engineer (Google Desktop Team)Instead of working on your gadget in isolation and submitting it to Google only when it's done, consider getting early feedback by posting your gadget idea and prototypes to the Desktop Developer Group. Other gadget developers, as well as Googlers, love to help by giving feedback.

There always are some details i forget to tackle, so some early feedback, for a beta version of the gadget, especially from fellow developers, is very valuable. I'd like to say thanks again for all the help i got :)
