Interview: Talking to Google Desktop

We use their programs, we read their documentation, and we follow their posts. I'm right, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this. :) But what do we know about the people who create, maintain, and support Google Desktop? With gadget development as my hobby (or even as a job :D) I often wonder about the behind-the-scenes views of the GD team. Some of them stepped onstage at the Google Developer Day in the US and Japan recently, and now they've taken things further by answering a few questions: I had the pleasure of interviewing Mihai Ionescu and James Yum — engineers on the Google Desktop Team — who talk about the past, present, and future of Google Desktop.

Please read the interview. I hope it helps you see why Google Desktop and its gadgets can improve our lives, whether we're developers or users. Hopefully, there will be more such interviews soon. :) Many gadgets, everyone!
